It's Halloween tomorrow, and if you haven't got plans, it's not too late to do something about it. As part of our LOST Halloween series, we present to you the ultimate plan for a LOST Halloween Party.

In order to help you out, we've seperate all of the ideas in to sub-sections (below).

Contents

Decorations

There are many cool ways to give your home an island-theme for your party. You might try creating different themed areas throughout the house.

Oceanic-style

Use this printable logo to give your house an Oceanic theme.

  • Turn your hallway into a Oceanic-style check-in desk.
  • Give namecards or invitations in the style of Oceanic 815 boarding passes.
  • Make Oceanic water bottles, pieces of metal, tarp and open up suitaces of luggage to create an 815-crash site.

DHARMA Stations

Also download our printable DHARMA logo.

  • Just a boring restroom? Turn it into a DHARMA station (station 2 of 6, The Waterworks).
  • Turn your kitchen area into Rose's beach-style food area (see the Food and Drink section)--putting sand on the floor for extra authenticity.
  • Room for gathering? Why not make it a DHARMA recruitment processing center.
    • Print a 'Namaste!' welcoming banner.
    • Play repeated DHARMA orientation films on your TV.
    • Conduct faux-interviews, assigning roles based on personality.

Music

Besides the original soundtrack, there are some songs that have made themselves known throughout the show. Make yourself a playlist with these songs:

  • Drive Shaft - You All Everybody
  • Geronimo Jackson - Dharma Lady
  • Joe Purdy - Wash Away
  • Mama Cass - Make Your Own Kind of Music*
  • Perry Como - Catch a Falling Star
  • Petula Clar - Downtown
  • Nirvana - Scentless Apprentice
  • The Pixies - Gouge Away
  • The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
  • Willie Nelson - Are You Sure?
  • The Blind Boys of Alabama - I Shall Not Walk Alone
  • Damien Rice - Delicate
  • Willie Nelson - Shotgun Willie*
  • Glenn Miller - Moonlight Serenade
  • Bob Marely - Redemption Song
  • Oasis - Wonderwall
* Extra points for opening the party with a vinyl playing of these songs

Food and Drink

Label your food and drink with these absolutely fantastic DHARMA labels from Max Pictures.

Of course, it doesn't have to be DHARMA to be Lost-themed. Try these:

  • Dropped-Muffins
  • Locke's boar meat (or regular pork; we recommend bacon)
  • Juliet's grilled-cheese sandwiches
  • Ben's Left-over chicken
  • Hurley's (Suprisingly-hot) hot pockets
  • Locke's tasty mango
  • Gross little grayish-yellow thingies
  • Slimy little bluish-black thingies

Games

Since it's a halloween party, it wouldn't be complete with out some Lost-related games. Here's some of our ideas.

Bobbing for Hand-grenades

Rules

  • Teams of two or more players have their hands tied behind their back and line up
  • Equal number of apples per team member are placed into a bucket of water
  • Each player must bob for an apple, but hold the apple in their mouth until all of their team has apples
  • All members must hold the apples for 30 seconds
  • Anyone who drops their apple explodes loses their team the game

Island mini-golf

Set-up green area for Hurlye-style mini-golf. Play for fun, or for items in Sawyers stash (read: the food you're holding).

Board-games

There have been a number of board games in the show, these could be left out for party members to play throughout the night.

  • Backgammon
  • Risk
  • Chess
  • Connect Four
  • Mouse trap

I never

A fun drinking game to play (as Kate and Sawyer played in Season One's 'Outlaws') is 'I never'.

The objective, as you'll prbably remember, is to make a statement that starts "I never ...". If anyone playing has done this, they take a drink.

Costume Ideas

DHARMA Employeer

The obvious costume (and one of the easiest to make) is the DHARMA employee.

The tan-jumpsuit--while awesome--is probably going to be the most worn, so try the blue-collar boiler suit or Chang-style lab coat for more variety.

Smoke Monster

You maye have seen this idea in full detail earlier in the series, but with jus a few bin-liners and some tape, you can rock the party as the monster!

Polar Bear

Going with a friend? Why not both turn up as a polar bear? But it'll be worth it to see the other party members run in fear when you turn up (for one of you, anyway)

Screw that

If it really is too late, or all of the above is a bit much, then why not just have some friends over, and share some MacCutcheon during your re-watch.

Whatever you do--or wear--let us know how your Lost halloween went.
