'Just For Fun' is a regular feature where we'll be posting quick and fun Lost-related things that you can do. To start the feature off, we're stepping onto the shoes of Hurley.
Figuratively, of course. We're playing the lottery, and not just with any old numbers, yep ... those numbers. 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42--the numbers Hurley plays in season one, and the same numbers that start the so-called curse which leads him to the island.
Previous Results
- The Irish National lottery almost drew the exact numbers in November of 2005 with '4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 24' (just one number out).
- The UK national results were also coincidentally close in January of 2006, drawing '4, 8, 16, 23, 27 and 47'.
- In September of 2009 the Bulgarian authorities probed a freak repeat drawing of the numbers '4, 15, 23, 24, 35 and 42' on the 6th and 10th of the same month.
Hurley's Tips
To avoid Hurley's devastating bad luck, we'd recommend sticking to the following tips:
- Do not win the lottery
- If you do win, do not:
- Spend any amount of money on a HMMWV or mansion
- Make friends with a psych-ward patient
- Fly to Australia with the winnings
- Keep your day-job
